Navigation East
Navigation East, a learning initiative by Gig East and Greenlight, launched in 2023 in partnership with the Wilson Community Improvement Association, supported by a grant from Rural LISC. Designed to make digital literacy accessible and practical, it empowers community members with the skills they need to navigate the digital world with confidence and ease.

Greenlight Ed.
Technology doesn’t have to be tricky. During Greenlight Ed, members of the Greenlight staff give hands-on instruction to members on how to manage their services and devices.
Whether you’re a tech newbie or just looking to fine-tune your skills, these sessions are designed to empower and connect you with the tools you need to get the most out of your Greenlight service. Classes are held on the last Wednesday of every month at the Gig East Exchange.

Gig East Smart Ag
The Wilson Smart Agriculture Testbed helps small and medium-sized growers and entrepreneurs enhance their operations by increasing efficiency and sustainability through data-driven decision-making.
The new greenhouse facilities provide real-world testing grounds to explore and refine innovative IoT, AI, and data analytics solutions for agriculture, accelerating innovation and reducing risks. Committed to fostering entrepreneurship, the testbed connects startups, corporations, researchers, and government entities, creating a collaborative environment for networking, partnerships, and new business opportunities.

RIoT Accelerator Program (RAP)
RIoT, the North Carolina-based economic development nonprofit, works with early stage startups as they disrupt the status quo and advance emerging technologies.
Up and coming ventures from Eastern NC and beyond can participate in a 12-week intensive business program where RAP heavily coaches companies through market validation, product development, and go to market strategy, and connects them to more than 75 business and technology advisors. The culminating RAP Wilson Pitch Competition is held annually during the Gig East Summit.
